April & May Preparedness Lists

May Preparedness:
Food Storage Item: 21 pounds oatmeal (date for rotation)

Week 4: Prepare items to storm proof your house or check to see if still in good condition.

Week 3: Add peanut butter to 72-hour kit and food storage.

Week 2: Add hard candy (Jolly Rancher, Life Savers, etc.) to 72-hour kit.

Week 1: Add one box of matches to 72-hour kit.


April Preparedness:
Food Storage Item: 15 pounds beans (date for rotation)

Week 5: Add a roll of duck tape and trash bags to your 72-hour kit.

Week 4: Add 1 container of "wet naps" or wipes to 72-hour kit.

Week 3: Add 1 bar of soap, toothpaste, and toothbrush to 72-hour kit.

Week 2: Add insect repellant and rain gear to 72-hour kit (for hurricane preparedness).

Week 1: Add 48 ounces of non-carbonated canned juice to 72-hour kit.
