General Women's Broadcast will be on Saturday, March 28th at 6:45 PM. It will be at the Katy Stake Center and for sisters 8 & older. Refreshments will be served. We will be collecting NEW children's underwear to donate to the local Children's Hospital.

In Book Group this month we read "Spoken from the Heart" by Laura Bush. And for fun, come with a title for your own biography. Brittney Bodine's house, Thursday at 8 pm. 

Stephanie Sprueill is trying to locate about 4-5 pop up canopies for the girls camp fundraiser on the 28th. If you have one she can borrow, contact her at stephers1972@gmail.com. She can pick them up or you can bring them to the church that morning around 8:00 am.

March Announcements

Choir practice Sundays at 1:45 pm in the Chapel! Come sing with your family, friends and ward family!

NC Ward YW Fundraiser is set for Saturday, March 28 from 9 am to 11 am. Meal tickets for an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast are $5 a person or $25 per family. There will be a silent auction, bake sale, pictures with the Easter bunny and an Easter egg hunt. Signup sheets are going around for item or service to donate for the silent auction. Invite friends and neighbors to this event!

Youth Conference and Special Olympics event will be on Saturday, March 21 at the Stake Center.

Ward Talent Show and Funniest Home Video Night will be on Saturday, April 11 @ 5:30 pm. Signups are coming around!

The temple will be closed, March 2-16.

The stake will be holding food storage classes at 10am at the stake center. The dates are: April 14, Sept 8, Oct 13, and Nov 10. There are also ongoing food storage classes at the Houston Cannery.

Our RS bought two awesome pressure canners and a large scanner for family history projects. Anyone in the ward can use them, so contact Kami Latorre!

An Organ Workshop hosted by the Katy Texas Stake will be held on March 6-7. There will be a Hymn Sing/Organ Recital on Friday, March 6th at 7:30 pm. There will be a Organ Training on Saturday, March 7th from 8 am to 1:30 pm, held at the Richmond Building (9950 South Mason Rd, Richmond, TX 77406). Lunch will be served. Join Dr. Don Cook and Kymberly Stone of the BYU School of Music in a special Organ Workshop. Family History Class: Tuesday at 10:30 am

There is a personal History writing group starting on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the Family History center.  Brink a pen and notebook, journal, laptop, or ipad -- whatever you want to use to write your answers.  It is a great way to get started and have fun at the same time.  If you want to come but have small children, don't let that stop you.  Sister McClain suggested that this activity would be easy for moms to take turns rotating in and out of watching the nursery children.  If you have questions, call Jana McClain at 832-771-3718.
