Children (ages 8-11) invited to join the children's choir!

Please invite children to join the children's choir!  

We have a great start to the children's choir, but more would be even merrier!  Rehearsals are from 7-8pm in the Primary room at the stake center.  Children's choir is for ages 8-11.  Please make sure children's choir is announced in your meetings tomorrow!  Announce it yourself if need be in Relief Society, Elder's Quorum, and Primary.  To be clear, we are not desperate for singers.  The children's choir sounds lovely!  We just want all the families in every ward to be well informed of their options to participate in the concert. :)  

• Saturday Dec. 13: 7-9pm at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church (across the street from the Katy LDS stake center).  This is where we will run through the entire concert.  You can come dressed casually (no need to dress up for this).  This is  a GREAT time to invite families with young children.  That way they can get a glimpse of the concert without the pressure of keeping little ones perfectly quiet. :) 
  
• Sunday, Dec. 14: performers arrive at 6:30pm; concert begins at 7:30pm: will be at the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church (Across the street).

Come Celebrate with your Sisters!

Mark your calendar on December 18 for the Relief Society Christmas Party at Debbie Siebert’s home at 6:30 pm. It will be a cookie exchange, so bring some cookies to share!

Ward Christmas Party "Brinner"

Come to the Nottingham Country Ward Christmas Party on December 13 at the Stake Center. It's now moved to 5 pm and will be a Brinner (Breakfast for Dinner) theme with kids wearing PJs and adults wearing ugly Christmas sweaters.

Temple session updates

Here are some updates on temple session times from President Crane, of the Houston Texas Temple.  Here is a summary.

1. Beginning 16 January, a new early morning session will be added to the Friday endowment schedule.  The session will begin at 5:30 a.m.  Patrons must bring their own clothing for this session. Family file names will be available in the credenza, but no new file names will be printed for this session.  

2. Beginning in January, Fridays will be dedicated to walk-in baptisms for family file names from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Some temple file names will be available for unendowed members.

3.  Beginning in January, temple clothing will not be furnished to brethren who will be assisting youth groups performing baptisms.  However, those brethren that will be assisting in the font (actually performing the baptisms) will be furnished clothing.

Tithing Settlement

Don't forget to sign up for tithing settlement with the bishopric. There is only a few more weeks to go!

November Food Storage List

Food Storage Item: 15 lbs. of beans

Week 1: Add $10 cash to emergency fund

Week 2: Add extra baking supplies to your food storage

Week 3: Add 1-2 boxes of pre-sweetened cereal to 72-hour kit

Week 4: Make sure your financial binder is complete. Send one copy to a family member or friend in a separate location, preferably another state.

Time change & Sacrament meeting start time

Don't forget to turn your clocks back on the evening of November 1.

Also, our ward will meet at 12:30 p.m. starting November 2 through the end of the year. We will change to the 2:30 block in January.
